WE'RE THE WELL FAM
hey there!
Well it was a Covid Christmas for us this year. Something that we knew we would inevitably catch at some point in time. And we’ve been preparing for this for well over a year. For the young otherwise healthy individuals with no underlying health conditions, Covid is typically nothing more than a common cold / flu. But it also has the potential to progress into a serious illness which lands some individuals in the hospital. While it’s unlikely that we were to ever develop serious symptoms, it’s something we wanted to be prepared for. Because preparedness eradicates fear.
And so I’m compiling all of the resources that we found helpful in preparing and supporting our bodies through Covid.
*This is NOT intended to be medical advice. This information is not to be used in place of conventional medical treatments. Please seek the advice of your health care provider if you contract Covid and need medical assistance.*
I believe the most important tool to have on hand is a pulse oximeter. Here is an affordable one from Amazon. One of the concerns about Covid-19 is that it has the potential to induce ‘silent hypoxia’. Which is where oxygen levels are low but the patient feels well otherwise. Monitoring oxygen saturation with an at-home pulse oximeter can provide simple reassurance that oxygen levels are OK. According to this guideline for at-home O2 monitoring normal oxygen levels are between 95-100%. Oxygen levels between 91-94% should warrant medical investigation. And if your oxygen drops below 90% you should seek immediate medical attention.
A lot of my fears were dissipated as soon as I learned more about how the virus progresses in the body. I truly believe that this is the key to help people properly manage their symptoms, and know when to seek medical help.
Covid-19 is similar to many respiratory viruses in some ways, but it has a strangely unique progression in certain individuals. This progression has been studied across the globe by some prominent researchers and medical doctors and they have found a key marker around day 8 where the virus progresses into an inflammatory response in the body.

Typically the first 0-7 days are considered the viral stage. And you’ll have regular expression of flu-like symptoms such as runny nose, body aches, fever, sore throat, nausea etc. It’s been suggested that the viral stage lasts for approximately 5-7 days. During this phase there are several aggressive interventions that have been shown to be effective (see early protocols below). And researchers have found that with early treatment, the likelihood of quick recovery goes up dramatically.
After the viral stage is the inflammatory phase. This is said to happen around day 5-10 with a key emphasis on the 8th day. In the inflammatory phase there is a hypersensitivity reaction that takes place in the body that triggers an inappropriate immune response. This is the stage where shortness of breath and low oxygen can occur. Doctors suggest monitoring oxygen levels several times a day through the duration of the virus but especially around day 7/8. This is a key marker in the progression of the virus. If there is any indication that oxygen is decreasing, or any symptoms of chest discomfort / breathlessness, please see Dr. Shankara Chetty’s 8th day protocol below.
There are many renowned doctors across the globe that have treated tens of thousands of patients with different combinations of supplements and medications with immense success. Some of these doctors have 0% of their patients ever needing oxygen and 0% of their patients ever succumbing to the virus. They say that the key to halt progression and avoid a potential hypersensitivity response is early and aggressive treatment with a combination of therapeutics.
The below resources are intended for informational & educational purposes and to be used at your own discretion under the guidance of your health care provider.
This is one of the most popular protocols currently being used for Covid-19. Page one is the prevention protocol if you’re looking for prophylactic treatment (to prevent yourself from catching it) or if you’re in close contact with a case. Page two is the early outpatient treatment protocol for once you’ve tested positive. They utilise a combination of supplements and medications which have shown to be extremely effective as a first line defence against Covid-19 and to prevent further progression into the inflammatory stage.
This is another guideline for at-home treatment of Covid-19 created by the World Council for Health. They share many of the same therapeutics as the I-Mask + protocol, and if you scroll down to page 23 & 24 you can see the dosing for adults and children respectively.
If you want to dive deeper into the research on some of these interventions, c19early.com provides a real time analysis of 1,281 different studies on early treatment protocols for Covid-19.
The 8th day protocol was developed by Dr. Shankara Chetty, a South African doctor that has had a 100% success rate in treating thousands of patients without the need for oxygen or hospitalisation. His focus is on the 8th day and the transition from the viral to inflammatory stages. This is a later-stage treatment protocol for patients who have started to show declining respiratory function after the 8th day. It is a combination of prescription medications with the aim of preventing severe progression of the virus. If you scroll down to the ‘files’ section on the link above you’ll be able to download the therapeutic protocol outlined by Dr. Chetty. This is merely to be used as a reference when discussing treatment options with your healthcare provider. I have found this be the most comprehensive source in understanding the progression of Covid-19 from the viral to the inflammatory phase. It truly helped to shift my perspective on how to manage my symptoms at home.
Ivermectin is an FDA-approved anti-parasite drug that has routinely been used for more than 4 decades to treat parasite infections. However, it has not been approved by the FDA for the treatment of Covid-19. And it is one of the more controversial remedies. This is a great resource all about ivermectin in the treatment of Covid-19 with it’s rational and clinical studies.
The FLCCC Alliance has developed a database of pharmacies that are currently fulfilling prescriptions for ivermectin.
I hope you’ve found some of these resources helpful. I cannot give any recommendations for supplement brands. Please seek the advice of your healthcare practitioner if you have any questions about how to effectively manage Covid-19 using any of the above protocols.
